Postcard from Central Park

Central Park

We spent a day dashing through the city, beginning with a picnic in Central Park and wonderful views of the lake and the trees (who were contemplating, but not quite ready, for a change in color), as well as for some people watching. One girl had the same idea as us, carefully laying out her blanket, and using the basket, her purse, and then, herself, to pin down the corners. After an hour her date still had not arrived, and she sat, adjusting and readjusting the plates. Despite the sunshine, it started to rain, and we hurriedly packed up our things to go on to the next adventure, the girl and her missing date, quickly forgotten.
